Recipe of Bhelpuri

Recipe for Bhelpuri, a popular Indian street food snack, in steps:


Ingredients:

- 4 cups puffed rice (murmura)

- 1 cup sev (crispy chickpea flour noodles)

- 1/2 cup chopped onions

- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes

- 1/2 cup boiled potatoes, cubed

- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves

- 2 tablespoons tamarind chutney

- 2 tablespoons mint-coriander chutney

- 1 tablespoon chaat masala

- 1 tablespoon roasted cumin powder

- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder (optional)

- Salt to taste

- Lemon wedges for garnishing


Instructions:


1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the puffed rice, sev, chopped onions, chopped tomatoes, boiled potatoes, and chopped coriander leaves.


2. Add tamarind chutney and mint-coriander chutney to the bowl. Mix everything well to coat the ingredients with the chutneys.


3. Sprinkle chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, red chili powder (if desired), and salt over the mixture. Mix again to distribute the spices evenly.


4. Taste and adjust the seasoning if needed by adding more chutney, spices, or salt.


5. Transfer the Bhelpuri to serving plates or bowls.


6. Garnish with a squeeze of lemon juice and additional sev and coriander leaves if desired.


7. Serve the flavorful Bhelpuri immediately and enjoy the crispy and tangy snack!


Note: You can add additional ingredients to the Bhelpuri as per your preference, such as chopped green chilies, chopped raw mango, roasted peanuts, or crushed papdi (fried flour crispies). Bhelpuri is a versatile dish, and you can customise it to your liking.
